The Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault Unit (DVU) is comprised of a
lieutenant, and three detectives. In addition to domestic violence and sexual
assault cases the DVU handles child abuse and elderly abuse investigations for
our department. The Unit works seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
Detectives assigned to this unit are called out as necessary to handle
incidents occurring 24 hours a day.
Each officer assigned to the DVU has received specialized training in the
investigation of both domestic violence and sexual assault cases. They have
also received training in other areas.
