The Detectives in C.I.D. respond to incidents that require the assignment of a detective to assume responsibility for the investigation and follow-up investigation. Some of the incidents a detective will respond to include the following:
The Detectives are also responsible for crime scene investigations and interviewing witnesses and suspects. In addition, they meet with other area law enforcement agencies and pool their information on criminal activity in their jurisdictions.
