Our department
continues to set challenging goals. In December, 2005 we brought together
representatives from all ranks, divisions, and units for a day long meeting
intended to identify challenges that lie ahead and how best to attack them.
One reason why we involved so many officers in this process was to develop
specific and "doable" strategies and tactics for addressing problem
areas.
Below you will see the goals selected by this group. For each goal
selected a working group of officers developed dozens of ideas to implement
these. We hope to implement as many of these ideas as possible in the coming
months.
