Chief John W. Suslak
Welcome! to
the Lynn Police Department web site!
On behalf of the
men and women of the Lynn Police Department I would like to welcome you to
our web-site. I hope you find it informative and easy to navigate. To learn
more about any topic simply double-click any of the “boxes” running down the
left side of a web page. Topics are listed alphabetically. If you haven’t visited our site for a while you may want to start with “WEB UPDATES.”
One of the things we hope to accomplish with this site is to provide the public with a better idea of just “who we are” and “what we do”. We also hope to use our site to actively involve members of our community in our community policing and crime reduction mission.
For example, under "C.I.D." you will find information about all our investigative units such as our Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Unit, Special Investigations Unit, Gang Unit, Juvenile Unit and Drug Task Force. Under “Patrol Division” you will find information about our uniformed officers and patrol routes.
Our site also includes a “Most Wanted” section that
includes photos and outstanding charges for the Lynn Police Department’s Ten Most Wanted. There are
also links to Most Wanted photos for state and federal law enforcement
agencies. With the cooperation of the public, several of these individuals have been captured in the past year.
Under our “Safe City Initiative” you will find a number of safety and crime prevention tips. Our “Police Information” page includes information on Amber Alerts and copies of a number of city ordinances. It also includes photos, home addresses and other information for all Level III Sex Offenders.
We welcome any comments or suggestions you have for improving this site or improving police services to our community. For your convenience we have included the e-mail addresses for our various units so you can contact them directly on-line. If you prefer you can also call us at 781-595-2000. If it is an emergency you should call 9-1-1.
I would like to thank our webmaster, Detective Richard Frampton of our Identification Unit, for his tireless efforts in designing and maintaining this web site. Enjoy!
John W. Suslak
