On June 30, 2008, at approximately 5:41 a.m., Lynn Police units responded to the rear parking lot of 201 Union St. on a report of a male lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive. The first officers on the scene found a Hispanic male lying on the ground and determined there were obvious signs of death. Detectives from the Lynn Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office were notified and responded. At this time the incident is being investigated as a homicide and the cause and manner of death is undetermined pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
