Subject: Attempted Abduction

On June 20, 2011 the Lynn Police responded to Cliff Street and Walnut Street for an attempted abduction of a 14 year old boy. The boy was walking on Cliff Street and was approached by a burgundy colored, older model sedan, with four doors, and a dent on the driver’s side door. The vehicle could possibly be a Ford Taurus. The vehicle was operated by a male, 40-50 years old, Middle Eastern decent, short curly black hair, wearing square framed glasses, with a very heavy accent.

The operator of the vehicle attempted to entice the 14 year old boy into the vehicle. The boy pulled out his cell phone and started to make a call. This caused the vehicle to flee the scene. Several Lynn Units canvassed the area for the vehicle. At this time, the vehicle and the suspect have not been located. The incident remains under investigation by the Lynn Police Department. If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information they are encouraged to contact the Lynn Police Department at (781) 595-2000 or they can text a tip to Lynn Police at (tiplynn and then the information to tip411).
