Detectives assigned to the Lynn Police Department’s Juvenile Unit, are investigating an allegation that a Brickett Elementary School student was bullied, and assaulted while attending school, and as a result received serious injuries. Detectives are working closely with school officials, and the eleven-year old boy’s family. This incident was alleged to have occurred several weeks ago. Police did not learn of the allegations until this past weekend. At this point in the investigation, the exact cause of his medical condition and what may have occurred remains to be determined. Detectives will be examining all possibilities, and it would be premature to assume the location of the incident. At this time, these are only allegations.
