Re: Attempted Bank Robbery

The Lynn Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the photographs below in connection with an attempted bank robbery at the Salem Five Bank located 20 State Street, Lynn. At approximately 3:00 p.m. on 1/23/08, the male pictured below entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. When the teller became upset, the male left the bank without receiving anything. He fled on foot toward downtown Lynn. Lynn Police Units responded to the alarm at the bank and searched the area for the male without success.

The male is further described as being Caucasian, 27-35 years of age, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, medium build, and was wearing a dark blue reversible “Adidas” brand running suit. Both the top and bottom of the suit had white stripes, (refer to attached photo from the incident).

The investigation into this incident is being continued by the Lynn Police Department Criminal Investigation Division as well as the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force. Anyone with information on this incident, or who recognizes the subject in the attached photo is encouraged to call Lynn Police at (781) 595-2000.
