On Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at approximately 9:36 a.m., Lynn Police and Lynn Fire responded to 6 Lincoln Street on a report of a medical aid involving a child. Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, they discovered a 3 year-old female unconscious, and having difficulty breathing. The initial investigation revealed that a large television fell on the child, causing serious injuries. The child’s mother was home at the time of the incident, and called 911. The child was subsequently transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, and is in serious condition. The incident appears to be accidental. Lynn Police Detective Joseph Chadbourne, and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s Office are investigating.
